The glow of the moon was pale that night as a velvet sky lit up by starlight hung above, thick and black I see it now as I look back. Remembering I also see in shadow standing next to me a figure bent, sullen, forlorn the face a blur, the image torn. Torn by betrayal on that night death ensued as plunged the knife and from my chest you cut my heart then walked away into the dark. (big hugggsssssss) This is a dark and haunting poem, sweet friend, I hope this betratal is fictional to your heart as my heart goes out to the many poisoned by this kind of violence! (sad sigh) This is heartachingly powerful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Sad and dark piece. Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. |

faceless man who is known to all that leaves two shadows on the wall His smile left like a waitress tip His anger as keen as a buggy whip For a thousand years and then a thousand more he's stolen lost hearts and barred the door whose fate, one day, in hands of the Maker and for the last time becalled: the Heartbreaker Wonderful writing, Ann. Said perfectly! jeff [This message has been edited by ShadowRider (08-13-2002 01:40 AM).] |

Wow! Intense, dark poem. Is 'the face a blur' part possibly referring to the fact that the 'victim' wants to forget, or that the relationship happened so fast? This poem expresses well the almost physical pain a 'stolen' heart can cause (if I'm reading this poem correctly! ) |
