The sun has so much warmth So much joy does this day bring We don't have long to wait now Until the beginning of Spring Already I've spied a jonquil As it was born to the sun There's so many more surprises But this was my very first one I have daffodils and freesias With a fragrance sure to please But before the seasons change I must remove all of the weeds A brand new transformation Will take place here in Spring My garden will burst with color Giving the birds reason to sing Wisteria, gardenia and jasmine Will fill my senses once more With my gardening tools in hand I'll head on out to explore I am in motion |

Wisteria, gardenia and jasmine Will fill my senses once more With my gardening tools in hand I'll head on out to explore Yes, Spring is a lovely time of year. You've named three of my most favorite blooms. I enjoyed this Sue. In truth, what defines us is our poetry. |

How wonderful to read of spring and your expectations - while here we write of fall and those expectations. I love fall but would also love to go right into spring - great poetry Sue - Paul |

'...Wisteria, gardenia and jasmine...' I have none of these in my garden. Poo!! No wisteria, as it takes up a HUGE amount of space that I don't have in my tiny yard and gardenia and jasmine are annuals in this part of the country. Although, I love the smell of jasmine so much that I bought a teeny tiny one in a pot. It is outside this summer and I am hoping it will survive in the house this winter so I can relish the scent. Your expections for Spring bring such joy to my heart and I know this feeling very well. I have printed this out to read come March and April. I enjoyed this so much. Hugs, Marti |

Sue: Lovely description of the onset of spring in your garden. Seems strange to think of spring there when we are heading into fall! I know your garden will be beautiful as it is every year. Betty Lou Hebert |

Sue, it's easy to see you are a gardener at heart, the way you help things grow, flowers, thoughts, people. Keth Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

Ah spring...my favourite..well, one of four favourites. It's amazing that you shall be going into spring... as our summer dwindles and we look at the fall colours. Beautiful write Sue. ~Hugs~ |
