I’ve walked the fields of Winter
becoming nothing but a dancing silhouette
to the moons attentive eye,
& I’m stringing the stars together
one, by one…

I spy secrets
scatter about the world,
resembling misplaced illusions &
churning in and out of Spring where the
dream spider crawls about,
and out, of my soul;
She stitches her snare across my heart.

Frozen elements of me
reduce to dust, and empty onto the coil of Summer,
only to die with the mists of morning
as bumps of droplets with sacrificed smiles
lick then lean, against my reflecting pane.

I cascade with the blistered leaves of Autumn
surrendering earths potency to draw me below
the cracks in forever,
I’ll lie beyond the dusk there yonder,
until my shadow, once more,
serenades the seasons, on the frozen hills of time

The Moon is an appreciative audience. The stars strung so they serve as stagelights to what matters, that summer merely warehouses souls whose winters warm and autumns renew.

A drifters ballad. I heard the music of displaced feet. Very nice.

which one to pull out of the ocean.

Unbelievable, Sammie. I can imagine Siouxsie Sioux singing this one!

For many reasons
but chiefly because I enjoy these,
I ask,
please,
that you continue writing...

Filled with excellent imaging, Samantha, but this is by far my favorite part...though there are very close seconds.

I’ll lie beyond the dusk there yonder,
                        until my shadow, once more,
serenades the seasons, on the frozen hills of time

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Oh my!  What a treat on a rainy day.  I do hope you post more, as this was exquisite.
