Gathering For Autumn ~*~ Summer days are ending, and cool days are beginning. Leaves will soon swirl around my feet in a colorful blaze of orange, red and gold. I can hear the laughter of children as they pounce on leaf filled pumpkin shaped bags, and see squirrels chattering to one another haggling over plump acorns. I can feel the warmth of apple cider sliding down my throat, and feel the golden heat from a fireplace tickling my feet, and the warmth of a kiss, that sends my heart afloat. Sometimes I think the heat of summer will never end, but would I want it to cease? No, I would miss the music of change, and the gathering of color filled thoughts. ~*~ BloomingRose |

Simply beautiful. Autumn is my favorite time of year. The time of renewal. You've captured it well. |

Ya know.......sometimes your poetry just hits a soft nerve of inspire and the following is a great example No, I would miss the music of change, and the gathering of color filled thoughts Now tell me that isn't a poem begging to be written on it's own. Such beautiful images in those two lines alone not to mention the wonderful ones spattered throughout your entire verse. I applaud you and BEG (hey...it ain't often I beg) of you to turn those two lines into one of it's own. Beautiful write and up to the top with this one. |
