Of Sums and Crumbs A mind of crumbs summed into sums Beating upon a kettledrum Added to the fife of my wife And rounded out, you have my life. Summations added year on year To understand the clear of here Yet still the drumbeats loses base A chameleon that changes face A thankless task this do of ask That hides behind a phantoms mask Assures you nectar with its charm And lures you on with false alarm And weariness begets within To nullifies the threads of din Strains upon your aim of goal Makes you doubt your very soul. A mind now soaked in stifling dross And my greenery in hanging moss |

A mind now soaked in stifling dross And my greenery in hanging moss =================================== Nothing about your mind is stifled nor dross...and this clever manipulation of rhyme and word play proves that... "Assures you nectar with its charm And lures you on with false alarm And weariness begets within To nullifies the threads of din" how cool are those lines?? Time flows on and soon it’s gone The hands of time move ever on You play the cards in life’s game Then seek to find your own flame Whatever life throws at you You will persevere and come through All you need to know is this Life is good if you seek its kiss I love the writing of you on this special day.
