Basking in His Presence pretty pink petunias poisedpoints of light reflecting the glory of sated drink beside them nestled closely sweet alyssum resides sparkling with droplets a summer shower gentle and soft has fallen upon them caressing their hearts both clumps, of posies, perky mirrors of joy, as if a gift of love, from His very hands I receive their beauty into my being clinging to their effervescent dances in the whispering breeze bobbing their heads to and fro pivoting, swaying above their steadfast toes couldthe Maker be walking among them bare feet upon the grass grasping their whispers with each ensuing pass? might He be as playful as a child to this scene? yet wise as asage traversing the green? to ponder His presence brings a joy unmatched it gives rhythm and music to my day, to my very soul ©August 7, 2002 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |
