Remember When? ~~~ Hiking through a woodland glen as mellow shards of sunset bend to capture bright in waters clear reflections caught from mountains shear The silhouette sings twilight's best enchanting beauty north by west 'Twas then my heart forgot to beat while visions to my gaze complete A gentle sigh resets its rhythm I step towards this face from heaven ~ In twilight's eerie haze you stood amongst the tranquil shades of wood where timeless paths bestow the land you beckon with extended hand Surroundings waver hardly seen I spring a trap laid there between then falling deep to darkest dread above ... the trap once more is spread ~ I Tumble blind through timeless mist as things unseen tear cloths to bits Attesting shrieks bare blackest dreams when fingers grab they choke the screams I'm lifted tossed to brink of ledge I scramble safe aback from edge As breath wheezed ... lungs filled sanguine air soon shadows dance to flame's despair ~ Perusing cavern round about entwined with scents of mash and stout the shadows fade as faces bare their eyes unblinking strangely stare Just who they be I have no clue in cloaks of rag bereft of shoe A boiling pot spilled overflowed aroma waft so pulled my nose ~ As grumbles struck beneath my chest a bowl they passed I said my blest The taste was odd but strangely good then laughs coalesce beneath their hood It strikes me now this tale I'm told now echoed back from memories cold Beware the pit from beauty set where mortal foot trods with regret ~ I sense the danger lurking near too late I'm thrust through worlds of cheer around about with no control immersed in love then stripped of soul Tears of pleasure tears of pain around about and back again Conscience whirling twisting vain Blackness ... lifting ... drenched with rain ~ Hiking through a woodland glen as mellow shards of sunset bend to capture bright in waters clear reflections caught from mountains shear The silhouette sings twilight's best enchanting beauty north by west 'Twas then my heart forgot to beat as visions to my haze complete A pondered thought sends senses reeling it's de ja vu ... I've got this feeling ~~~ |

I liked the way that you broke up the lines here Rex. . . the breaks followed the flow of the poem much better than if you had just done it in normal four lines stanzas. . . great work my friend. . . good to see you back as well. . . ----------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

Rex darling heart oh welcome back indeed you have no idea HOW much I miss your exquisite writing. This is stunningly well written the way it flows from beginning to end in such lyrical beauty. That you write exceedingly well everyone acknowledges, when you write and you incorporate the starlight’s shimmer you positively shine with wonder. This is so very special the light that flows with the liquidity of crystal streams of water, words that caress the soul with beauty, and phrasing and meter that puts masters of the art to shame, this is stunning and I love it utterly utterly utterly. Never do you cease to amaze me with the wonderful skill in which you weave delight Love and warm stuff As always Mushy Breathe through the heat of our desire |

Thanks everyone ... you're all such kind and treasured friends ... I write so little anymore that I do try to add a little something special to the things I do write. And Passions is where I post them first There is no place finer and no friends better ... to be sure |
