When Dreams Die |

Mourning for whispered woods and age-frayed meadow grasses Love devoid of passion is an empty echo of yesterdreams. Desire becomes a strange bedfellow conspicuously missing in the dark. Hollowed out pillows of little comfort makes a heart to ache. The embers of dead and dying dreams choke--burning the eyes. Lying in disillusioned sorrows will dull visions of future arise. Pained humiliation shatters a spirit’s aspirations and hopes. The choice is simple and plain, to rise up from the ash and waste Step into a new path away from apathy and disgrace. Truth becomes an ally of total fidelity with no guile. A trustworthy guide of the soul, when life-dreams die. Quotation, n: The act of repeating erroneously the words of another. |

Thanks ~D~! I got a bit of "inspiration" over the weekend about not letting disappointments and heartaches keep you from moving on with your future, and this just popped out. ((HUGS)) So good to see you! |

Love devoid of passion is an empty echo of yesterdreams. Desire becomes a strange bedfellow conspicuously missing in the dark. Hollowed out pillows of little comfort makes a heart to ache. This is so full of angst, Dulcie...and so beautifully penned. These words remind me of how I felt right after my first husband died. ~ lots of chipmunk hugs Lyra |

White Rose, Thank you! I don't post often, so you see, things don't always "pop" for me either! I wish I could write more, but I wait to be inspired. Munksters! It is so good to see you sweet lady! It is always hard to let go of lifelong dreams, they are the most deeply rooted. I suppose I wanted to convey the depth of that loss, and apparently, I did. Thank you so much! (((((lots of Glad to see you furry critter hugs))))) |

(big hugggssssss) Yes, even when it may hurt sometimes we must always move on because there is much promise in store and our hearts are bound to find peace! Thank you sweet Noah, and those promises come from a source that is always true and faithful! He gives beauty for ashes when we step out in faith. ((hugs)) |

Dulcie darling heart and writer of sorrows tear’s and past broken dreams of what was, have you any idea how extraordinarily brilliant this piece of writing is? Hove you any concept of the depth and compassion that is written in this? Well, if you don’t believe you me that this is exceptional. I’ve always known your writing was exceptionally perceptive and written with an inner knowledge of comprehension of the real of life and its pains and sorrows. How you can doubt you have an awesome talent I’ll never know, for this is utterly utterly exquisite. I know this is simply inspired writing, you really have written something special darling girl Kiss Batman he deserves it, Hug Jeff and tell him to give you a huge kiss in celebration of this outstanding write. Both the mushettes send their love, neither of them have had much time to be on here so they hop no one forgets them, they will be back soon I hope. Love and warm stuff As always Mushy Breathe through the heat of our desire |

Oh, Maureen, never fear. It was a perspective on the past and the inspiration of two very good sermons I heard Sunday morning. Jeff gave me one phrase that seemed to bring it all together for me. Wonderful how that works huh? I have been writing some Psalms again, though I am not all that happy with them just yet. Thanks for coming by, it means a lot to me to see you here! ((hugs)) Sven, I am both humbled and honored at your request, and yes, you may. Thank you so much! Magnus, thank you for seeing the spirit in the words and for your warm and welcomed comments! Seymour, it is indeed an honor to have such a wonderful review from an exceptional poet. Thank you! Nancy, I will do my best, but I am not as prolific as some of my better counterparts, and my own worst critic! Thank you sweet lady! (((hugs))) Marsha and mushettes…my most humble thanks, you do make me blush with your utterly wonderful praises! I always endeavor to pull every ounce of compassion I can drag out and paste on the page. It is my way of feeling I have contributed something worthwhile to say. Thank you dearest lady, and Batman was extremely pleased with your homage btw…such a little tyrant he is! *LOL* and as for Jeff…well…ummmm…he did like your suggestion very much! Thanks! |

one of your semi-psalms that is awe-inspiring, M. When you are on it (which is ALL of the time) you hit all the high notes, and write with intelligence, insight and a romantic heart. This is outstanding, M. ~huuuugg~ Oh, by the way, did you ever learn spanish, Ms.Dulcinea? ~love~ jeff |

I love this poem for many reasons, one of them being the coining of the term "yesterdreams." Wow! "I fall into your arms." |
