Poetic Declaration |

It would seem that I had this inclination to write a sort of poetic declaration. I asked my muse to vist, if she was so inclined but she so chose to graciously decline. With my thoughts then away she ran but I can still write...I think I can.... My muse was determined that I wouldn't write, ah she knows me better, I just had to fight! Through the words I painfully muddled she laughed at me, but onward I struggled. I reached through my heart, straight into my soul {you see, she thought she had taken complete control!} Each time she'd steal a thought and try to run away another new word eased through to come into play. She was tough, there was surely no doubt, but she needed to learn what I was all about! We battled ferociously throughout at times while she tried to steal my well thought out rhymes! NO, I would not give up, nor would I give in. This time wasn't hers, I was going to win.... So I now present this as my final assertation~ I've still written my poetic declaration!! Let her go to the beach, come back tanned and sandy... and she won't have room to fight at all! Enjoyed this! |

I had a long serious talk with my muse.I appealed to her sense of responsiblity.I told her it was her fault when I could'nt write. She laughed scornfully but said she would think about what I said. paladin |

Very Nice. Reminds me of a country song "The Devil Went Down To Georgia " The devil lost that fight just like your muse lost this fight. |

Excellant poem for my deliama. I got the nerve to call the editor of the local paper yesterday. He said send him the three best pieces I have written. YUK> I found nothing I liked. AND my muse would not help. THEN I told myself..."Look you have to write." So, I did. (But not sure if the muse came through or I did it. hehehe.) Take care, Coway |
