Oldham Mill 1840 ( No E's Challenge)

Clog irons ring on cobbling walk,
Dark, huddling shawls, asthmatic talk,
Smoking stacks, a factory god,
"Worship all, or risk my rod"
Kith and kin spin Ginnys gold,
Cotton ruling young and old,
From crib to coffin, toil all day,
Abandon all, who pass this way.

OLIAS.

Not an "E" in sight and the poem doesn't miss them.  Excellent write on the harshness of picking cotton and slavery.

Olias!  Sir...you've been gone far too long!  And then you come back with a wondrous response to Sven's challenge!  Stay around awhile, and teach us, please?

EXCELLENT´E

is there a snynonym to excellent, in any language, that contains no e? Surely so!Probably several, but is there one you know?

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Thank you your very kind !

Bridget,
Cotton, and slavery of a sort in Lancashire England. Thank you for reading and your kind reply.

Sunshine,
Hello again, I'll try and stay around as long as I can, but I can only learn, there isnt a teaching bone in my body Thanks for the welcome.

Bsquirrel,
Thanks and Thank you.

VAS,
Your very kind,
What about Turkish a bet there are no E's there.

Jason,
Thanks for reading and taking the time to reply its much appreciated.

Sven,
Your very kind Sir,
I keep popping in and out. History, mmmm not my best subject Im afraid but theres probably a hundred places like Oldham in Lancashires Industrial revolution its just outside Manchester the original town of "dark satanic mills".
