I really don't like dogs Had too many bad experiences In the past When I was 4 years old A German Shepard Scratched me on top of my head And knocked me down My mind was blown when the dog did this Like a cat I wanted to hiss When I was 12 years old I was spending time with my friend Bethel I wanted to hold her dog Pill And Pill bit my hand Nice brand NOT!!!! When I was 13 years old I spent the night at my friend Cristal's She had the meanest dog She said don't be scared Go and pet him I did as she said And the dumb dog scratched my face I told Cristal never to do that to me again But I did love one dog Her name was Cleo She was the sweetest thing in the world So were her puppies Cleo would always bring Busch With her at first But Busch was hit by a car And died Then she would bring Max But he had to be put down For distemper That upset me so Then one day I saw Cleo was gone The owners decided to move I haven't seen Cleo since I was 11 or 13 I can't remember which So I have had both good and bad experiences with dogs I am scared of them Unless they are nice to me Cold hands means a warm heart |

I can understand why. What amazes me is that you overcame the fear instilled in you by the rough encounters enough to love Cleo. There really are lots of "Cleos" out there, but I'm a cat person. I started to say 'cat owner' but people don't own cats, it's quite the other way around. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

Dogs like mine make dog-haters like my Dad happy. What is life without poetry and adventure? |
