Minus Two

Awaiting tomorrow, my day of non
of thirty-too many, parting words
slipping away in our midst of blind
your past is bound, my now absurd.

I am today, whom I shall know,
but tomorrows rainbows will kiss my gloom.
For you of dark who holds my days
shall savor "oui"  as full moons loom.

Your carvings touch, your thoughts unknown
who am I, to want from you
on this a day, in shadows play
a day of non, of thirty-two.

M

p.s. Aug. 2nd is my 32nd Ann..
of which two are non

You made this look very easy, Maureen...
when I had to write with no e's,
all I could think of was EEK!

how can that be?
this Anniversary?
32 years with a face so lovely?!
Yet you still have desire
and a stylish fun grace.
But darn
i still can't get over that face!

Your responses to ALL challenges
are admirable, Maur.  You never
fail to raise to the best challenge.

You've met the challenge splendidly!

(There will be even bigger and better days ahead of you that will be as monumental or more so as that of what you write. You'll see. *s)

Barry, thank you..I was reading all the others and thought how well they were written  but it's not that easy..I had to  find my theme first which was easy once I thought about tomorrow..I didn't want to write about no  e's because you guys have done it already.

Karilea, I was searching for yours to read before I did mine and still haven't found it...
I will look again. But it wasn't that easy it took me awhile sitting here...probably
about an hour to write such a small poem.

Thanks,
hugs

it's diffcult to think that way isn't it M??

but, it's a good thing. . . it allows your mind to go. . .to roam. . .

Excellent job, Maureen.
I have wanted to do this challenge but have really been much too chicken...
Maybe I will give it a try...
but I don't think I will ever best you.
Not only didn't you use the letter e...
but you wrote an excellent excellent poem without using it....
WOW!!!!!!!!
