it asks politely and expects
no reply and so I ‘please wait’
moment after moment
and I start to wonder
just how many moments
have been stolen from me
in a lifetime of waiting
a theft we tolerate
one increment at a time

now I wait and one moment please
ticks into eternity and so in the interim
I double click and proceed to a time
not wasted, to a time when I loved
and was loved
to a time forever
preserved...for very wisely
I must say, after I had found my way
into your heart
I had the presence of mind to
right click and drag a shortcut
back to mine

I like the way this poem slips from ordinary moments to moments of love. A very smooth transition and a lovely poem.

I like this very much, lady... *S* You have a talent for letting the most mundane moments lead you to poetic jewels... if my little blinking hourglass gave me such inspiration, I wouldn't hate it so much! *G*

Amazing of what we think to do
as soon as we're tired of the
wrong type of moments...

well done, JB
