I'll try this explanation
as my own interpretation
of gathered observation
on mankind's infatuation
with God and with creation
I'll use for illustration
a modern adaptation
of ancient publications
from Earth's many nations
through years of alterations
in each variation
there is but one summation
that we all seek elevation
and our own soul's salvation.

(a re-written version of an earlier poem I wrote)

I never read the original, but the re-write is superb.

In a state of pure elation
As I read your dissertation
In your wordly grand depiction
Of of our worldly situation

...Way kewl...

Religious diversification's
insistent differentation
seems to lack toleration
often greed's it's motivation
is in fact peace's usurpation
in it's name's been mutilations
there's been far more lamentation,
warlike altercations
and human relocation
culture devastation
it's twins discrimination
and segregation,
forced assimilations,
denunciations
alientation,
than has been celebration
so I risk my own damnation
and seek excommunication
for my insubordination

Dang but I love to see
inspire
trickle
down...

excellent, Jason...
and to those who answered in verse?
Kudos to you, too!

ACCK!!
You're gonna make me choose between the original and this one? Hmm..I'm off to find the original because I can't seem to spot the differences. Either way, I love them. Glad others finally get to read from your archives.

I will not bend to the cowardice of a silent judgement.
