A man who claims to love his wife Never should take another mans side After he stands there cussing her out By her side he should always abide It seems not all men do this with his wife Instead he stays with his drunken friends Making excuses for the things they say Wondering why his wife won't make amends I don't think a wife owes her husbands friends Forgiveness for the things they say or do Just because they might have been so drunk The wife does not have to forgive them too She owes them nothing that I can see So why should you expect that from me By Sue 7-30-02 [This message has been edited by SmartChick (07-31-2002 12:36 AM).] |

Sue, what you've said is so true, I'm pretty sure many can relate! Sometimes I wonder, where does the word "objectivity" go in a company of men? mycafe Keep counting your blessings |

SmartChick, you owe them nothing, but you can pay them out anyway. Powerful sentiments. Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

I agree with Kethry. The wife owes them nothing. You expressed your thoughts very well in this poem. |

You owe them nothing, Sue... absolutely nothing, unless you can think of something totally and appropriately vengeful. Sorry...I am a troublemaker, but I love you my dear friend and want to see things get better for you. ~ hopeful hugs Lyra |

I've been noticing, Sue... that the more you write of the truth... the better your poetry becomes.... keep writing... there're a lot of lessons still to be shared... |

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Sue, I agree, I think your poetry continues to get better every time you express your heart, you don't deserve any of this madness and I hope soon you find respect in love thatn you deserve ever so much! (sad sigh) My heart goes out to you, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you!
