Reflective Smells In the reflections so pure That they melt into your heart In the purity that sparkles In crystal clear colors of rainbows In the transfixion of love That it represents In a smell that captivates me In sighs of aphrodisiac nectar The elixir of your potion Sending erotic quivers In this bouquet of lavender ambrosia And long stemmed roses In these verses I merge them together In this ring for your pleasure To wear on your delicate finger In the bouquet of my love for you Thought: When you have somebody that special, you better use the right words and all the tools to knock her off her feet and into your loving arms. D.Lester Young (07/29/02) Reflective Gliding Shadows The eagle vision is floating the universe In a free spirit glide with wings reaching eternities In sharp focus the heavens open up in wonder In the independence of the ever seeing spirit In the meditation of oriental gardens Each thing has its place to stimulate thought A reflection pond with golden shadows In the middle of the garden You are elevated into another plain Sitting alone in a church pew The world is forgotten As the shadows come into you In a prayer with an out of body experience Your mind is reassured within a soul Let the skies open up your mind in such a vision That they storm in you in cuddles of expressions Let’s ride among the eagle’s spirit Meditating on the worlds reflections In the faith that we have purpose Needing to be here For the forces of life says that in all your faults The day is coming to make a difference D.Lester Young (07/28/02) Love Can You See My Face In a face not worthy of you Can I love you? In a place that is not right but I must use Can you see me? In more rags than riches, in the money of my heart Can it be worth enough? In a castle of ruins where I reside Can I build you happiness? If in the magic of your eyes My words will fly In touches that caress My verse will sing In the breathe of your presence Poems will devour readers With the elixir of your potion My song will rock For the more you give me in my frailties The more I will return in building your empire So inspiring that the heavens will open up In me cuddling you so In tender loving care Thought: If you do the right thing, love will overlook all barriers of your frailties. But in one misstep in assumptions, the magic to recreate a fantasy may require an eternity. D.Lester Young (07/29/02) Tuscaloosa, AL Copyright © D.Lester Young (White Eagle poetry) |
