Don't know if you really missed me Out of sight, out of heart they say I'm back from Drenten Heathland Just came in again yesterday A four day trip of hotter hotst And poor me can't stand the heat I've missed our bugman Balladeer Bugs ate me top down to my feet Thirty and more degrees Celsius I longed for some cool white snow While standing in open heatherland Yelling 'She's ok, just let her go' Again it was a beautiful trip Saw sun rise like a big red ball Low mist on acres still asleep No camera, so I've to tell you all The heather was of a purple color As far as your eyes could see sheep sheltered in the shadow under little groups of trees I saw the sheepdogs working Every time it's a beautiful sight To see a herd of fourhundred sheep moving through the landscape wide Yes I forgot to bring my camera You have to see it through my eyes I hope I've painted you a picture But there's no sound to hear my sighs Like scattered leaves...my words will flow |
