Clouded cries bank my sky- in wicked rays of crimson shade- siren songs. can you hear them? Dust unsettled through the night- blurring ration from my sight- fantasy. can you see it? Brazen caress marks my chest- and grace is but a foretaste- silence. can you feel it? Whisper tips of finger lips- suckle sweet smiles from my denial – seduction. can you taste it? Filtering my senses I breathe in shallow glimpses Catch a dose of hope through bright kaleidoscope Only to find the sun a mockery begun For I am waterless upon mirage abreast. Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |

(smiles) Oh Tanya, this is beautiful, sweet friend, I know this feeling ever so well where I wonder if someone else felt the same way I do and truly I felt the beauty of this vision! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Tanya, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! I've always wondered just where the oasis was. . . love it. . . --------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

This is a mirage of excellence, Devina... I enjoyed cooling off from the hot sun, here in your personal written oasis, Devina. ~ cooling hugs Lyra |

i was reading this and just before i became entranced, The Ataris came on with the song "San Dimas High School Football rules" and the first verse was a perfect backdrop for this poem about this mirage.... love it when the world comes together like that. it's our struggle for identity that leaves us all unknown |
