QED In the delicate balance of walls, the furniture and us, the air is chilled by the rush of doubt. This space expands diametrically - from this couch to that chair; I’m aware of a crackling, a tension of posture that simultaneously attracts and repels – we should touch but do not. Nourished, the chasm of paralysis quadruples. We follow an invisible design to fall away. A memory: a Faucault pendulum in a museum long ago - a heart-shaped weight suspended by piano wire dangling an inch above a sandy floor, gradually knocking down a perimeter of dominos, the gravity of rotation. © 2002 C.M. Bailey Main Entry: Fou·cault pendulum Pronunciation: "fü-'kO- Function: noun Etymology: J.B.L. Foucault Date: 1931 : a freely swinging pendulum that consists of a heavy weight hung by a long wire and that swings in a constant direction which appears to change showing that the earth rotates [This message has been edited by Corinne (07-29-2002 11:33 PM).] |

![]() ![]() ![]() (big hugggsssssss) Oh Corinne, I know this donino effect so well, sweet friend, I have been to the planetarium before and just find it fascinating how time and gravity seem to cause that perfect rotation and knock all the dominoes down! (smiles) I love the analogy of this, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Corinne, thank you for sharing! ![]() May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

This poem, as pendulum, has knocked me down. I seem to have missed your posts, before now. Really enjoyed this. Now, I must go find more Corinne. The shortest distance between two points... |

a unique approach to this one Corinne. . . the swinging continues. . . well done. . . ---------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

I was going to say that there is a typo but won't since it is spelt right in the informative bit below. Just out of curiosity, what has 1931 to do with Jean Foucault? Did he not die in the 1860s? :-) |
