I Cried Today

I cried today,
tears for what is lost,
the good memories overshadowed
by the emptiness of new.

I cried today
giving the meaning to another,
allowing them into a shattered world,
mine.

Tears, uncontrollable,
whenever the present is mentioned,
whenever tomorrow is sought.

I cried today,
for what is lost forever
and for what might be,
when I rise again.

This just grabbed my heart real hard, Maureen.  It feels like you looked right into my soul.

Maureen darling heart ((((hugs)))) you know darling girl that within your writing there is such strength and heart, I’m always awed by the way you compose your thoughts in this poem especially you’ve written them perfectly. The flow is superb the light touch of your spirit is in this darling and I’m stunned wonderful wonderful writing. I love it utterly utterly utterly

Cry if you must and then you’ll rise love you xxx sister of my soul

Love and warm stuff
As always

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

nakdthoughts -  you're too pretty to cry tears of sadness. Make them of happiness...
