Reflect not on Love's motive
as a one way interrogation
mirror but as one would
the gentle needed rain

Love is a conqueror
shameless and decent,
a species of warmth,

an instant reaction to beauty
neither sacred or profane

Love seeks in the beloved
that which exalts
justifying the passion

Love is distinguishable from
simple sexual attraction by
the refinement of it's expression

Passion is that form of Love
nutured by obstacles put in it's way

This Love as offered
came as natural as breath

given in unblinking
benevolence

Richard, I think this says it all...

quote:
Love is distinguishable from
simple sexual attraction by
the refinement of it's expression

I think you've said it very well...

I dont think anyone could ask for anything more...I think most women would give just about anything to have a poem like this written about them...to know they inspired someone in this way.
