Unworthy

The world has spun around again
And here, the scribble of a pen
How insignificant the worth
Of simple words unto the earth

I’m in the presence of myself
And only I can know the wealth
Of early chirps on limb of pine
In no one else’s ear but mine

All eyes are absent to the ways
The woodland opens up to days
All petals rise to meet the sun
As witness, I, the only one

The dawning earth holds great esteem
To which my eyes and spirit deem
More justified than words I glaze
In wet of ink’s unworthy phrase

More noble to endow its worth
A tear of joy soaked into earth

When you pen like this...
it is the rest of us who are
unworthy, but thank you greatly
for the lovely words....

The value we each hold to the many blessings of this earth are all different, but it has always been evident to me that you hold a special bond between nature and yourself and you share it beautifully.  I take this one to be a realization that we as mankind are no more special than the tress around us, the soil beneath our feet and the sky above us ... we are simply a small part of what makes it all a "world".  You penned another great one here and gave us that special touch of poetry personified in perfection that makes reading your works a treat always and I suddenly realize why your poetry always has such great cadence to it ... do a count in EVERY line and you will see what I mean.  Of course you probably already know this.....I am just learning the why and hows.  All in all........I loved it.  Sorry for the ramble.

Well this was certainly a heartfelt brain exercise, and of course it is "perfect" but how is the writer doing?  Wonderfully done, and phoning you tomorrow night be ready!

Elizabeth - what a perfect read! A humble reminder of just how small we really are
in the grand scheme of earth and God.
