Age was never an issue, I felt younger than I looked. Then my daughter died, Now I feel older than I look. July 25, 2002 If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

Age is still not an issue... it's hard, I know... but she is going to help you through this... |

Karilea, Just a late night pity party. Thinking about when I was 28 and the fact that I outlived Ginger by 24 1/2 years and how much time that is. I'll be okay. Thanks. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

Larry...I can totally empathize with this. Please let me join your pity party...or you can join mine tonight... Actually I have been having one all day today. I have outlived Eric by 27 years but I've outlived Monty (my first husband) by only 2 years and the scary part....is I might not even outlive him by much longer than that... so, Dear Larry...I would like to join your pity party or you are certainly welcome at mine where tears are being served with lemon wedges. ~ hugs and tears Lyra |

Larry....I know these feelings....I still remember when I reached my mother's age (40)...and now I have lived years past that and reflecting back, I see that a young person was taken away in the prime of life. Just as Ginger was... Life isn't always fair....but the beauty of it is...you had her as long as you did... And that is a wonderful thing to remember.. |

Sue, I was just sitting her early this morning looking at my daugher's pictures that I have online. Realizing that her high school Senior picture left her with just 10 years to go. So I started reflecting on the comparison to my own life... Anyway, I'm fine just refelcting on some sad realities. But thanks for your sincere concern. Lyra, I suppose the party should be hosted by the person with the most experience. And I hope you know you will be around for a while! Yes those comparisons are inevitable aren't they? But life goes on and you and I both will live it to make our departed loved ones proud. I have no doubt about that. I'll be delighted to share that experience with you. Thanks for your support...I needed that. Noah, Now that my friend was perfectly done! Thanks. Aw Duncan, I can always rely on you...I like that. Such good truth. And quality years at that. My Grandpa died at 53. That's my next b'day. Hmmm. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |
