Love may bite the dust,
we all may get burned,
but when we try
oh but once more, then,
Love's Disractions
are apt to play.
To distract during
that all important meeting.
To banter away
one's night sleep.
Love's Distractions
are here to stay.
Have you found
your one true match?
Or does your heart deceive?
Their face flutters
before your eyes;
all you want to do
is gently stroke the beauty.
What to do?
What to do?
Work to be done,
a live you must live;
but once more
you, my friend, are caught
daydreaming about
that one being in your grasp.
Love's Distractions
they can, and they will
disturb at any moment.
You know you love it:
The heart's little flip-flops,
the hope in your eyes,
that bounce in your step.
Much to do! you say.
But... that sweet, sweet face.
