In The Arms of Another

I watch with interest as the woman that was once
my sweetheart walks past me in the company of another man.
Wondering if she will speak to me and daring not to
speak to her in case he wouldn't understand.
For I know not where their relationship has taken them.
But it is not my intention to interfere in their plans.
My hopes and wishes are with her.
Has she finally found the right man?
And yet my hope seems to be dashed as they quickly pass by me.
For when I look into her eyes to see happiness
it is disappointment I see looking back at me.
I wish she could find happiness.
If not with me than by herself or with some other.
Sorry to say it doesn't appear at this time
that she has found happiness in the arms of another.

This reminds me of my latest favorite song, James. ("Man on the side" by john mayer.)

This could only be written by someone with a truly caring heart. Hugs, sweetie!

Big hugs James! I remember all your very hurting poems over her. This poem was clever with it's rhyme and story format

(big hugggsssssss) Oh James, I am so happy to hear you say that, sweet friend, there are few like you who still have such chivalrous hearts and when it may not be true love, the best one can do is wish them true happiness and that a friendship will always remain! (sigh) This is very thoughtful and loving of you, sweet friend, I hope you have found the greatest happiness, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet James, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

This has got to be one of the sweetest things I've read today James!!

it takes a very caring man to wish happiness upon a woman he is no longer with...(start cloning yourself -right away!!)

Glad to see this side of you sweetie!!!

Open arms can be the most fragile in the world...
