It was said of two composites
flower cousins on stalks:

Bloom, there's plenty of room.
One of you will grow tall
before the coming of fall.
Your fruit will bear sunflower seeds

The other will bear food for forage
It will grow short
delight the young
who carry bunches to school
yet it covers lawns like weeds
its nectar feeds the bee.

Both have reason to be.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown
