(The picture below is the sunset from my front yard) Only--Could They could be lions with long necks looking over the last of the day, they could be hungry lions. But no, they are embedded in dirt with strong rope and their neck’s sway to wind in a dance that shakes loose their feathers and sends them across the yard. How could they be lions? They could be eagles with long necks and feathers ruffled, They could be eagles. They rise in a pride in front of the setting sun and look at the house with distrust. I can feel their talons scratch, see their pointed teeth at ready. Yes, they could be lion-eagles, they could. They are only palm trees rising in dark silhouette against the setting sun they are only palm trees they are only palm trees palm trees. ---- reposted from 00, because I wanted to. |

LOL..."because I wanted to..." honey, you could post a picture of your toes, and a poem to go with them, wearing rings and things and we would stand here and say "Martie did that..." I dare you |

Oh, I LOVE palm trees at sunset, I think the most beautiful scene in Califoria is this.(Or maybe the sun setting over the ocean) Awesome poem. Sandra |

I still stand by my original comments on this piece no matter how nuts you believe me to be. I am glad however to see it come around again and just because you wanted to works for me. It is still lovely and your perspective is always one to admire and dwell on. Love to ya sweet friend. |

I couldn't see the picture... but that didn't lessen my enjoyment of the poem. *S* I'm glad you wanted to. *S* |
