…tonight as I drove home, a glorious sunset in the western skies captivated the eyes of my soul…a glance to the east, and I beheld the shimmering blue full moon tantalizing the horizon…thus this poem was born…)

TRANSITIONS OF TIME

The moon and the sun
Share opposite walls of the horizon tonight…
~*~…past faces present…~*~
Passing shadows of yesterday and tomorrow…
Merge for a moment in time.
Fading golden blazes of morning’s kiss…
Witnesses the guardian angel
Of the night’s skies…
Starlit horizons of the final hours of today…
Two faces of phases of the hourglass of time
Hold hands in a frozen moment
In the hallways in between their secret doorways.
Such a blessing to witness
This mysterious and magical transition
~*~…beautiful eyes of an unborn morning and dying night…~*~
Meet in sacred glances of chance…

~*~…for only a moment…~*~

All of time stands still
As my soul stands upon the highest point
Of this bridge of time's journey…
~*~…time's secret passageway…~*~
From yesterday into tomorrow…
And I find peace in uncertainties reassurance…
All that has come and gone…
And all that is yet to come…
Is waiting…united…somewhere…
Across that magical bridge of time…

...Precious transitions of time...

~*~…Yesterday…Today…Tomorrow…~*~

...I have touched the faces of you all ~ in one instance...
