We were both searching for something Before the time we'd first met We had travelled to faraway places Then one night our fate was set The room was smoky and crowded As we listened to the band You whispered in my ear And asked to hold my hand So few had shown any interest But you were different than the rest For this night I found my soul mate There was no way I could have guessed That was eighteen years ago We've been together since that day You've stayed faithfully beside me No matter come what may We have never had a fight As our respect remains so true So sincere and so very genuine Is this love I have for you Life's road hasn't always been easy But you've remained here by my side My love for you grows stronger In you I always can confide I am in motion |
