In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2002-07-21 07:59 PM

Every day a new beginning
every night a chance to dance

In flowers we welcome
    green fields   in gentle glides
until day merges   with midnight

its the synergy of fragments
   spreading   petals  in all softness

How many Octobers had
  left him?    meeting his shadow

My muse reminded me
of the fragrance in the bottle
lavender    floating
like feathers     from     the sky

  {I studied once, the instructions,
they seem distant now from all
     I remember -- to far from here}

Is it, with in us for the Sea
to try out   sentences   lapping endlessly--
that all this blue goes with out pain

We stand alone on the dance floor
he is betting  flowers      will fall   fragile
and darker piers will jut        into darker waters

funny how that feels    to say aloud--

The rain   is   battering the grounds
I am not sure I really care
about that-- its almost a       peace

'Peace'  funny how that sounds
   to say aloud

The cutting edge --

I woke at six am --
I am not a morning person

You say "I understand"

   Really, you do not

The ocean looks like a thousand diamonds strewn across a blue blanket
I lean against the wind pretend I am weightless and in this moment I am happy

(smiles) Awwwwwwww, this is sooooooo beautiful, sweet friend, I especially loved the beginning as it brought the muse dancing whimsically in those October breezes only to find the morning light come and distract you! (kiss on cheek) This is lovely, sweet friend, I love it, ooohhhhhhh...I'm so happy you're back and well again, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lauren, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Lauren, your writing has taken on a quality so indescribably profound..
I cannot find the words my friend to tell you how I feel..
after reading something you have
written...
no...not after reading...
after experiencing
for that is what it is like.
...an exquisite experience.
So beautiful, so precise, and true.
Okay...I'm starting to gush..I'll go now...
Thank you for this Lauren...
and I am SO glad you're home!

have I mentioned that I love your muse?
you will already know the reasons this one spoke to me...

Lauren, your heart speaks such truths,
so softly.
It is so good to have your precious words again, and you dear friend, back at these blue pages.  Hugs.

Enjoy life, this is NOT a dress rehearsal.

Lauren...how gently this reads, I felt I needed to tiptoe in just to leave a note of thanks, for all you write...

Lauren,
I liked so much about this poem.

But I sure can relate to this verse. Another fabulous write. Bless you.

I cannot find suitable words to respond to this piece,
yet, I couldn't just let it go with out at least trying to saying something!

And I still don't know what to say.....

Excellent Lauren!

Your works always take us to new boundaries of reading as you express yourself so that we can almost place ourselves there in thought......you complete before transitioning into another without too much delay....and you line breaks and pauses add that certain appeal to your reads that force the reader to take those extra few seconds to let it soak in.  Superb penning as always and you know I adore reading your works.
