This one is
for all the dreams--
all the sting
I've yet to sing.

All the things
you never saw--
all the things
I never was...

I wish I could be everything,
that you saw within my eyes--
I wish I could be every thing!
(all of me, contained in smile)

I felt your reach
of slow dance love
I danced upon
your feet in trust--
I miss the waltz
of jubilee--
I pray to find
some "you" in me...

I will die
your little girl
I miss you.
miss you, miss you
...twirl...

I love you, Dad.
I am your girl.
(I miss you Dad.)
I miss our world...

(as I catch a flamed baton)
I do it, just to carry on...
high-stepped pride
in grasp of wand--

I'll do it.
I will carry on.

Oh I wish I had met this man, for he has the most loving, sincere, and kind-hearted daughter, and I do believe I would see a lot of him in her.  Beautiful poem for Pops, and I bet he is smiling a rather wide smile on this one, and missing you too. Thank God for memories and being able to draw on them for warmth of soul.

Nothing means more to me than faith,
family and my friends.

I did not know you were going to dedicate this one
to the favorite men in our lives...

but you touched the heartstrings again,
you know you did...and for that, m'dear,
I am very, very grateful...

Your Dad was obviously a very special person Karen, and your love and missing him shine through in this piece. It’s the same way I feel about missing my mom. A part of them will always live on, as long as we have our memories of them.

smiling at you all--and mysteria? y'make me blush.

But I want to thank you all--I know I am a lucky lady--not only do I have many understanding friends--I was also granted the grace of company and love of an exceptional person for 41 years.

I didn't mean to sound selfish, but it does occur to me, that I have also been graced by sun and moon for as many years, and I would still mourn their loss tomorrow--should they cease to shine.

It was a BAD nite, and I thank you all for listening. to forum.

Not only do you do yourself proud ... you do the memory of your father proud and in return, we all get to sit here reading your words and say to ourselves...." Will I ever be worthy of words such as this and if not.........WHY NOT!"  Sort of a motivational tool for us through the gifts your father evidently held and used quite well.  Smile and stand proud serene one ... you done good.

Give my dad the credit, please. I just wrote the memory he gave me. It's even hard to re-read sometimes...I can still smell Mennen Skin Bracer, and hear myself giggling in dizzy...

Thank you all. But? I'd like to add?

Live every moment. Don't waste a second.

Hugs, all.
