The Gauntlet of Chairs

I pass through
The gauntlet of chairs
Battered and bruised
By your love

I see you
at the end
of the passageway
Hair aglow with flame

You float in air
Like enchanted silk
Beckoning to me
With yearning and lust

My insides explode
Like an
Over-microwaved sausage

I thirst
For your lips

I was doing well until I got to the microwaved sausage bit, then your poem cracked me up. Welcome

THE POEM IS NOW FINISHED!

The Gauntlet of Chairs

I pass through
The gauntlet of chairs
Battered and bruised
By your love

I see you
At the end
Of the passageway
Hair aglow with flame

You float in air
Like enchanted silk
Beckoning to me
With yearning and lust

My insides explode
Like an
Over-microwaved sausage

I thirst
For your lips

I run towards you

I fall through
The chocolate ground
And land
At the entrance to
The gauntlet of chairs

It didn't seem unfinished before. It just seems more finished now. Cool trick!
