I thought I'd show you a picture
So that all of you could see
How proud I am of my father
For he meant the world to me

This is the man I write of
Who remains within my heart
I've told you so much about him
And of the love he did impart

A man of few words
So very gentle and kind
He kept much to himself
A nicer man you could not find

I may never have been a writer
If it wasn't for my Dad
My words seem to have no ending
This is not some passing fad

Through the words that I write
He still lives on in me
I see him in the sun
And the moon and the sea

* * * * *

I wanted to show you all a picture of
the man who I love dearly and whose
love inspired me to write in the first
place. There is not a day that goes by
when I don't think about him and remember
him with such fondness.I guess the pain
of losing someone you love does ease over
time but you never forget them for there
are always constant reminders of them in
your everyday life. The only downside to
my writing is that my Dad never saw any
of the words I wrote and that saddens me.

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Sue,  I have no doubt that your father would
have been very proud of you and your writings.  Rest assured of that...

(tears fall down my cheeks) Awwwwww, I'm sorry that your loving dad never got to read your beautiful angelic words, sweet friend, I know how you feel and I wish there was something I could do to make him read them, but I can tell you one thing I am sure of; your dad will always love you so so much and will never forget you for you will always be his little angel! (EXTRA BIG HUGGSSSSSS) You are one of the most loving and sensitive people I've ever known and one of the best friends I've ever had, and while I have never met you or your family, I know your dad must resemble your loving heart so much! God Bless You, sweet friend, my thoughts are with you, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Sue...I know how you feel about your Dad...for oftentimes I think you've either written your poems for mine, or you've been reading my treasures and captured some as your own.  I tried to help get his picture to show, but I've surpassed my abilities.  Perhaps one of the other moderators can help you get it to show.  I'll be back to see...

I'm so sorry that this hasn't worked again.  Lauren was so kind to give me instructions on how to do this which I followed.  The strange thing is that when I previewed the poem the picture was there before I submitted.  Obviously I failed dismally so I give up.  Thank you all for taking the time to read the poem anyway.

Take care....Sue

Enjoyed the poem, Sue...My dad was such a big part of my writing, as he was a writer.  Hope you get the picture to show!
