Counting Moments....on a cotton quilt

Counting moments
in color filled scraps
of reminiscence
some intensely passionate
like whispers in the dark
some soft as babies breath
cool as a mountain stream
some full of fury
a fire so hot it inspires
bits and pieces of you and I
comforting as cotton feels
