"Distracted" I wish I knew the answers instead, I find more comfort distracting myself from the questions mourning your death is emotionally draining I busy myself with work, family, friends Trying my best to appear interested I write, paint the porch ride my bike have a few beers sleep Few realize part of me is forever missing, the part I gave to you. You deserved it Now...you're gone, while I remain distracted |

This is such a good poem, effective. It reminds me of funerals I've gone to, and tried to think of something else all the way through so I wouldn't cry so much. But I couldn't bring it off. Nan |

I'm with you Pilgrimage. I can always count on tearing up during a funeral. Bags, when you gave a part of yourself to that person, they gave you a part of themself to you also.... they will live on in you through your memories.... Your distractions only make the healing process take longer.... you cannot run... hide or heal... your choice. Love, Light and Peace, Sherry Cherish the good memories past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow. |

Thanks all. This was a hard one for me. Kept these things bottled up for awhile now. |
