Starlight, Star bright Ode to you bright star Where in the heaven’s Do you rest your blissful head? Doest fate hide you? Or do you hide from fate? Reveal yourself to me, For my heart needs you, Love is my destiny. My dues, I have paid twice fold. My life, I have lived righteously. My soul, I am willing to bargain. I would have a word with you, Oh, mighty Orion! Beau of Eos, Do I walk these darkened landscapes, Under the spotlight of the moon, Hoping your wisdom enlightens me? Or do I find a cool spot in the grassy knoll, And sleep a dream of happiness? I laugh at your cowardice, And marvel at your elusiveness; But mock me you will not, This nigh you will shine for me, An invocation I have learned; Starlight, star bright, first……….. Marcel Write from the soul and the words will flow |
