Late shadows soften
Both the heat of day
Filled with broiling sun
That burned all bared surfaces
Until red they swore not touching
But begged cooler salve
And the desire in my heart
To again see you stretched on white cotton
Fresh from line with smell of southern wind
Your tan limbs a contrast
To virginal expanse of king size bed.

Instead I now wanted to see you in gloaming
The time between, that so much echoed where my heart beat,
With softened images of reality and none of the glare
From reflected illumined purity

Yet time does not stop in progressive seconds
Darkness still finds the sky
And returns me to the chambers of want
Starved perhaps by my own doing
And not

When will the silk of this touch you?

I'm so glad to see you posting, Ron.  You have been missed by more than just me, it seems...(smile at Serenity)

Such soft sensuality of the mind in that place between...I have been there.  Loved the poem!

Loner: Thank you ma'am...but speechless is not neccessarily a good thing... hope it isn't permanent.
Serenity: SMOOCH! nice to see you again as well...
Sunshine... my friend... the sea is a mistress..and for me so is work. Thanks for the nice words.
Lyra: I'm pleased you dropped in and commented. So very glad to know things are better with you.

Nice to read you, again...no matter how brief the visit.  I truly admire your writing, Ron.

glory

Brilliant enough to hurt the eyes, and plaintive in it's cries. Enjoyed
