Daily Choices
By Larry Chadwick

Each day when I get out of bed,
Many choices lay straight ahead.
Will I make the right call,
Will I rely on the Lord at all?

Will I focus on just the big choice,
Or will I listen to God’s small still voice?
Will I recognize the importance of each thing,
Or will I find the world much too distracting?

If small parts are what make something whole,
Will I feel the same about matters of the soul?
How do I go about each day as it moves on,
Will I remember in all…my Lord to lean upon?
July 16, 2002

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Whatever you choose to do or say,
Your God will be with you every day.
Do good or bad, its your choice,
Free-will is a gift, from our King
Just listen you will hear his voice.
He encourages us to do Everything.

Nice thoughts, put into words,
Thank you,
Regards
John

Thank You Heavenly Father for this another day,
Thank You for all the blessings that You have sent my way.
Thank
You for my neighbors, for my friends and family,
Thank You for the guidance, that You have given me.

Thank You for my health, and for the forgiveness of my sins,
Lead me up the right path, as this new day begins,
Keep me mindful of others, as this day wears on,
And I know you're not even perfect,
Since meeting "Deer" and damn LongJohn.

I love this poem, Larry... my guess is that anyone who recognizes the many choices we make each day without even thinking probably makes the right ones. *S*

And I was loving the thoughtful replies and appreciating the heart searching you'd started... then I got to Toe's last line! LOL

loner,
You must have cold hands! Thanks.

M,
Thanks sweet lady. Your strength encourages me.

John,
The hard part is the listening...thanks. Btw, nice to meet you. Hope you like it here as much as I do.

Lyra,
Half the reason for the write is...I don't as much as I want to. But thanks.

Karilea,
I know I can now I just have to work on the follow through. Thank you always for you encouragement.

suthern,
Perfect timing has Toe. And still working on the right choices. Thanks.

Sue,
And I hope to improve on that score. Thanks.

Noah,
Only if the heart leads to God. Thanks friend.

Shenachie,
Dang, so I'm not the Lone Ranger. Thanks dear friend.

Larry,

each day before I'm half awake
before I leave my bed
the very same heart musings
are running through my head

everyday's a challenge
to bring out all my best
and all I ever want to hear is
my child you've passed the test

listening to the small still voice
is never what it seems
but it is the only way
that you can live your dreams

simple aspirations
can help to clear your mind
daily meditations
will help you to unwind

but I fond what works for me
in blessing or in curse
is giving praise so constantly
as you've done in this verse
