Shield of Flowers Rising each morning to the light leaking through the slatted shades, I watch the flecks of energy dance before my eyes and wonder... If I sent you an anonymous message would you know it was from me? Would its perfumed scent give me away? Would the tear stained smudges of caring, blend my thoughts until they become yours? Would the reflection of my love display itself to you, behind my shield of flowers? Would your eyes wear me, my words dressed just for you, unfolding in a language written for two? Would you feel the kiss placed gently, that sealed my thoughts warmed by time and the glow of the moon? If I release to you my fading thoughts, untouched, could you see they were meant for you... each word a flower, a gift to you until I am shielded no more? M |
