I always was a loner see, who couldn't express herself by voice
Rather wrote thoughts down in verse, this seemed a natural choice
When growing up to womanhood, I learned to controll my tongue
Afraid to speak in public though, afraid to say something wrong

I got myself more selfesteem and somehow it came to me
If I wished them to understand, true and clear my speech should be
That problem I have solved you know, even speak too much sometimes
But never did I ceased to write my deepest thoughts in little rhymes

One day when I was roaming the net, an English poetry site I'd hit
And wondered if I could do that too, write English poems to submit
I tried to translate a tiny one, that I had written some time before
After that I tried another and then one day I wrote some more

Finally I got the nerve, to submit my poems to that poetry site
I didn't get much answers though, but they looked neat and tight
On that site there was a Munda, she was from Dutch origine too
She wrote such beautiful poetry, but then I needn't tell you

There was a link to Passions in Poetry and curious as I've always been
I clicked and came to Ron's blue pages and all those poems, to be seen
I read and read and was hooked on spot and shyly submitted my first
The replies I got were so nice meant, they all satisfied my thirst

There was Munda, she welcomed me, and with her all you guys
You read the poems I've written, but you never heard my sighs
Sighs of trying hard, sighs of pure admiration, sighs of grief sometimes
You made me a whole person, proud to share with you my rhymes

Tita darling heart, YOU ARE an amazing poet and your ability always leave me feeling truly blessed. Thank the Lord for the Internet otherwise I’d miss your amazing writing.

I’m so thankful you got hooked in darling girl, and that you are here at PiP’s this is your home, and mine too. And what an asset you are, you really are someone incredibly special.

I can’t wait until September, it is going to be soooooo delicious to see you.

To all of you,

See, you did it again my friend
Replying in words so nicely meant
I hold you all so close to heart
I really hope from you, I never part

The long and flowing line
just ends up on the right note.
I'm pleased, yon friend of mine;
I like exactly what you wrote.

Well said! Kayjay

Dear Titia, you have brought such a breath of fresh air to this place. To attempt to write in another language, especially poetry, is an incredible undertaking and yet you have done it without fear and with style (and brought your wonderful mum along with you!) I admire your desire to succeed and your willingness to learn

I'm so glad you are here, I love reading your poems. I didn't realize you write them and then have to translate them into English. I'm so impressed; that's a lot of work. Hugs, Marti
