Dedicated to Ron, who beckoned me to Passions in Poetry and then to the forums. Thank you. I know my hand is safe in yours.

the hand upon my shoulder
the whisper in my ear
beckoned me to a place
“come share with us my dear”

unable to trust I felt the comfort
in words that did not demand
but offered simple friendship
in a place built by this man

blue, our favorite color
soothed my poetic fears
thus I gave voice to words
silenced by the years

another invitation issued
a forum formed amid the blue
and trusting in his integrity
I said “I’ll follow you”

you ask how I came here?
because of a man named Ron
who held out his hand to me
and beckoned me, walk on

I’ll stay within this blue page
when my last word has been penned
because I’m still held within
the hand of my dear friend

Stirring up a few sniffles here, this is so sweet. I swear I would not have made it through the past 2 years without all of you. How wonderful that Ron started it all, and you with him.

(big hugggsssssss) He is so special to us all, for if it wasn't for this deearest friend, Passions would never have existed, just as you have one of the most contributing hearts here! (smiles) You will always be a true friend to us all, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sharon, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

hey you....I have read this so many times...it was like an echo of heartbeat, so familiar...the reason that you came? is the reason why I stayed...it's as though walking into someone's home, and you can smell the essence of their life.

Smiles and lovely hugs to you, I would be at home where ever YOU were yanno...

I know these are special words from you.....
for a special friend...Where would we all be if not for our friends.
Loved the poem.

The sentiment is wonderful and so is the verse.

PdV,
I thought you just went out Camelback and took a right! I am glad you are here.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
