Sunset With Gulls |

The sun casts a golden glow over all that it touches, though silver sand stretches for miles, its still within reach. Irridescent jewels perch on the tips of minute waves, disappearing when they wash over the rocky beach. While waiting for the glorious colours of the sunset, feathers rustling in the breeze, a flock of seagulls stand lulled by the lapping water to peaceful contemplation, not disturbed, as more float down, on sea breezes, to land. Soon Midas' touch on all is replaced by firey red, the cool night ensuring the inferno burns nothing. Brilliant red turns to mauves and pinks as the sun slips down, then Ra dons his dark cape of night and all is sleeping. 13th July, 2002 Stand straight and tall, not the reflection as others see you, but as you truely are. WOW!!! Awwwwwww, I love this, sweet friend, I was in California about 3 weeks ago and we saw the most lovely sunset over Camino Capistrano! (kiss on cheek) This is breathtaking and colorful sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Dee, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! A rather majestic piece...so full of the elements that become the sea and the constant shifting along the shore line. Pretty as a picture Dee~ and so good to read you again! |

Dee, I had to open this. I have always been pulled to the water. Sunsets there are always somehow...more. Thanks for this lovely painting, I just need a little help centering it over the couch. There! Is it straight? ~wranx "Writing is a perfectly natural thing to do...provided it's done in private and you wash your hands afterward"....Heinlein. |

Noah, I love watching the sunset and I thought it was about time I wrote about one of the many beauties I have seen. Keth, humbly, thank you. I'm pleased you like it. This is about a sunset I watched, with seagulls, in Strahan. Lori, I am always drawn to the sea in time of trouble. Glad you enjoyed my view. Mark, you always seem to be able to make me feel like I am a great writer. Thank you for that. Thought I would slip this memory from my last holiday in while I could. There is something else I would like you to read if you would be so kind /pip/Forum69/HTML/001187.html Hey you, yourself come round anytime. I'd love to spend time with you on the beach. Glad you liked the references to mythology etc. I thought it might make a nice change for me to dabble in that area. Love to you both, Dee Stand straight and tall, not the reflection as others see you, but as you truely are. Clearwater |
