wow. For the fluid beauty of this slipping off the tongue...incredible... and now? what's dat meter? Hmmm...I am thinking iambic pentameter but a hunch tells me I'll be corrected on that too...this is a rhythm of writing that escapes me (FOR NOW, ME HOPES) but I have to learn to do this. I love how each line slips into the next, like sleight-of-hand. Amazing, you. |

Birth of silence lingers between the walls of delight Grasping at freckled constellations lost in the night Flickering aromas blaze the winds of untried time Whirlpooled in resistance to noons spiraling climb

Allure ... resting in the alacrity of mesmerized breeze ========================= Clouding spheres of fortune in yawn of dawn beams Lyrics of innocence dance in velvet curtains of sleep Sheltering emerald reflections of love passages keep =============================== Yearn of learn sparkles in first kiss of morning dew Rested between lips of quiver dividing horizons hue Breath of hibiscus song nestled in whispering spoon Blossoms to silken caress where fantasies are strewn ================================ Grasping at freckled constellations lost in the night ================================ Whirlpooled in resistance to noons spiraling climb ================================ Taunting dismissed shadows from yesterdays dusk Harmonies of midnight administer a lonliness cure =============================== Again I have to say-- With every write you take your poetry to a higher level, and make it real hard for a moth in worship to single out fave lines, for as KA says ..each flows into the next like liquid rhyme. And yes, you know Im smiling at the internal rhymes. (hmmm?) could it be that someone is actually trying to make these even more impressive? ![]() What struck me most about this one is the depth of the imagery...and the ethereal grandeur of it. Also the phrasing and vocabulary with which you create these images. Your imagery is breathtakingly powerful, romantically overwhelming...yet you paint it with tight, consise wordstrokes (and clever use of metaphor and personification)...no colors or verbiage wasted: mesmerized breeze dividing horizons hue Breath of hibiscus freckled constellations dismissed shadows yesterdays dusk midnight administer ( how cool is that) The imagery in this piece reminds me of the movie "What Dreams May Come" ... where the characters are thrust into paintings and dreamscapes of bold, vivid scenes...with vibrant colors and larger than life backgrounds. You create a collage of images for our mind's eye and dress them up with your gift of cadence and romantic intend, all captured with a mature, poetic intelligence that proves to me that you've found the secret for combining your talents as both poet and artist. May I call you MC Monet? you can call me JM--Mothinworship ![]() ![]() PS...this ones gonna be real hard to find the perfect pic for...but ya know the moth is persistant ![]() Now for me some words come easy But I know that they don't mean that much ... Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch. J.Browne [This message has been edited by Janet Marie (07-13-2002 01:37 PM).] |

serenity-Iambic Pentameter? What kind a critter is that? Honestly, I have never studied it yet so I couldn't tell you. I doubt it highly though from what I know of it. Thank you much for the wow and incredible. Duncan-Yes I would and I thank you much for the high compliment. Noah-Thank you for your always glowing comments. Sunnyone-I am happy that you found it enjoyable and worth a second taste. Thank you dearly. Regina-"Elysian"? I hope that is a good thing especially if I am completely that. You said stanzas ... I count "one", so you owe me one. LOL Seriously, thank you for the kindness in your critique and if you could see all that in it then I am happy. Sunshine-You have to start somewhere. Thank you much. Sandra-If you found peacefulness in it then of course I am elated. Thank you dearly. Enchantress-A keeper always works for me. Thank you much. My cat? I wish!! We adopted each other on a very limited basis. JM-You know that I am always blown away at your comments and will always come back and ask for MORE don't you?? LOL Thanks sweetie for all you do to make me strive higher in my works and for keeping my feet on the ground so much. Your critiques always mention the things that allow me to know if I am growing as a poet and you know how important that is to me. Cher-Thank you so much for those wonderful words. I sincerely appreciate them. Bob-So very nice to see you in here. Thank you very much for those special words. I will see you in SJ I am sure and God bless you as well. James-I hope I never get there. Thank you much. Amy-If I left you in awe then I can't complain. Thank you very much. Martie-An exquisite from you is like getting a perfect 8 second ride on the best there is. Thank you sweet one. You are cherished in a very special place in my heart forever. BluesSerenade-Bowing gracefully and thanking you profusely. JM-You will just have to wait and see now won't you? Thanks for the lovely pics. |

Lyrics of innocence dance in velvet curtains of sleep Sheltering emerald reflections of love passages keep Cradled embrace tossed in throes of tangled thought Stretch to the warming rise of imaginations caught First off to pick any one verse is about impossible, but this verse here is so eloquent in its beauty! Sheltering emerald reflections of love passages keep... That line alone is just outstanding Mark. This is a gem for the treasure box, do you mind much if I tuck it away with all the other "diamonds"? Enjoy life, this is NOT a dress rehearsal. |

JM- Thank you for the lovely pics. You know maybe you should decorate this place when you come to visit. NOW POST ONE OF YOUR OWN. ![]() Madame Chipmunk-Devour all you wish. I make my poems non-fattening and use only 100% natural ingredients. LOL Thank you for such a visibly tasteful comment. You are very much appreciated. ethome-Coming from one of your talent those are most cherished words indeed and I thank you with great acknowledgement. Oh , she is more like the light instead of the moth don't you agree? mycafe-Amazed always works and I hope I never fail you in that. Thank you dearly. Dark Stranger-And only two of my toes. Thank you so much. Gentle Spirit-If you find it worth tucking away, then by all means please do. Thank you so much for you warm responses always. BloomingRose-Yes you are!! ![]() Charisma-Look!!!!!!!!!! It is the woman in front of the line of HUGE HEARTS. Thank you dear poetess. You always shine with "realness" and that is appreciated. |
