Vacant Wants She offered all she had to him love, her time, her heart and soul. Not enough, or so it seems and left she did, to take a stroll and walk the plains of emptiness, to find herself without the need, no elements to null her mind or vacant wants, no arms to plead. A twisted life of blue on blue held in webs of malcontent, barren words, that once could thrill now breach the silence often spent in corners of, inside the walls of vanity, self-love the goal. Stilled by bars, of songs once heard their meanings deeply reaching soul. The past has passed, the new is now, soothing thoughts do come with ease. For she has willed from weak to strong, has only self in need to please. When next a he shall grasp for touch no longer can the field be held. His "normal" versus what is "real" to her will lack the drive, compelled. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." Maureen darling heart in this you have excelled your usual high standard normally your writing shines, in this one poem you have written pure truth. There are those who do this to another soul and it hurts terribly. Utterly utterly perfect writing and I love it well written and beautifully expressed As always Mushy Breathe through the heat of our desire |

and walk the plains of emptiness, to find herself without the need, no elements to null her mind or vacant wants, no arms to plead. This leaves me with such a deep sadness, Maureen...because you have expressed it so well that I can actually experience the feelings you convey... ~ sad poetic hugs Lyra |
