Intermezzo

It was but that once,
           the briefest interlude in time

a moment transcendent of plane
          and space,

I stepped up to him
           felt his embrace,

In slow motion, fingers
           defined his face,

My heart, fulfilled,
           I then let loose

This man of my heart,
           to hear thunder of Zeus

the rain then fell
           to fill earth’s lakes

that matched the sound
           of my heart’s break

Does he see me ever
           in his mind?

Do his thoughts run gentle
           to that time?

Did that interlude
          make him mine?

Or did only my heart become
          passion, defined?

Élan darling heart how utterly utterly perfect is this, words warm and delightful flow over my soul from your pen. How beautifully you write, how clear the images of yearning and soft memories are. This is very special your writing is always a cut above this is hauntingly tender. I can only say this is perfect, truly beautiful writing and you are incredible.

Sometimes I enjoy wondering what I may have left another with, mostly I just hope they've lost the number...lol.  This part really flowed well.
