by: hayden a. james & rhonda j. adolph Truth lies on the other end of these black n’ white keys Lies lay on the other side of the multi-colored screen. They’re stripped by wanting eyes, with belief as their snare. Floating on the wind like the clouds in the sky, These promises burst tears that rain down your cheeks. Hatred burns, anger simmers; impending to the surface, I fling all memoirs of a friendship so pure beyond vision. Let it burn in the intensity of love, Let its whisper be stifled by my boiling hatred. The rain from these clouds keep on falling, quenching the fires lit by these retching lies, it evaporates. Lost in confused, dazed in uncertain, I cry out for help. T'will only be when our skylines shine full with adjective truth. Hayden says:: "This was an idea I had and so above, we took turns writing each line. The first line written by myself, the next by Rhonda and this continues to the last line. Rhonda says: "It was a project that I'd love to have the opportunity to repeat." My poetry is at: http://www.thehayden.org |
