Sometimes…

in the ebbing light

of a cold day…

when memories

of a thorny past

are haunting me

until the tightness in my chest

is almost unbearable….

I would like to hide

on an island called

forgetfulness……

(sigh) Oh Neeraja, I understand this feeling so very well, sweet friend, back in my childhood lies many sad memories I wish to forsake and I just want them all to be forgotten while preserving the symbol of that child! (big hugggssssss) This is beautifully heartfelt, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Neeraja, thank you for sharing!

It is a lovely island
and it is just over there,
beyond the fog,
and pale of sky
beyond the first star of night
