Apple Pie I baked a pie of rhyme and deed An apple pie including seed And served it in a silver dish With syrup called just make a wish. I ate it with a thoughtful spoon Beneath a silver glowing moon Spit the seeds upon the earth For future cognoscente and birth The taste was that of daily wear Some of grief and some despair Some of dance in joyous wile And some I think with just a smile. Each person tastes different dill Those apples made of symbols fill And what you taste is in your flare Your condiments of do and dare You made the crust for it to bake It’s home made pie for goodness sake. |

You write in such a way I see every thoughtful movement and I like the fact you know I know which way your mind is bent |

I baked a pie of rhyme and deed An apple pie including seed And served it in a silver dish With syrup called just make a wish. I ate it with a thoughtful spoon Beneath a silver glowing moon Spit the seeds upon the earth For future cognoscente and birth =============================== Each person tastes different dill Those apples made of symbols fill And what you taste is in your flare Your condiments of do and dare You made the crust for it to bake It's home made pie for goodness sake. ============================== Sy-babers...there are so many clever lines of metaphor and analogies of life's wisdom in this, that all I can do is shake me head and smile I as read this gem... like the Apple metaphor you wrote to poetic perfection here.... one needs to first polish and admire the beauty of this poems surface...then peel the layers and sample its sweet wisdoms and its bittersweet truths that one might miss if only looking at the eye appeal....then slice and dice it and take the parts that we can use to better ourselves...and wrap it in a crust of trust and rhyme and we have a Sy-poetic pie. What I am trying to say is... DO YOU KNOW HOW COOL THIS IS??? Look at each of these lines on their own... each one stands to prove my point... With syrup called just make a wish. I ate it with a thoughtful spoon Spit the seeds upon the earth For future cognoscente and birth Those apples made of symbols fill Your condiments of do and dare "A thoughtful spoon !! apples made of symbols fill !! Condiments of dare !!" Gawwwd I love the way your mind works... and the way ya make me think and look at poetry. *winkiewinkie* later-apple of my eye-gator |

Sy, you always write with great wisdom. I appreciate this very much indeed. Now...to peel away the layers here.... to see what lies beneath. ~Hugs~ ~Somewhere in my heart I'm always |

JM, You are my golden fleece. one needs to first polish and admire the beauty of this poems surface...then peel the layers and sample its sweet wisdoms and its bittersweet truths that one might miss if only looking at the eye appeal....then slice and dice it and take the parts that we can use to better ourselves...and wrap it in a crust of trust and rhyme and we have a Sy-poetic pie. Your insight into what I write is amazing. If what you say is true than I am happy and content. For that is the soul of my goal. Winkiewinkie Randy Stinky Enchantress, Each pie will be different I know yours will be sweet. |

Wisdom and the words to express it are definitely in the index of your poetic cookbook. So cool are the metaphors and the analogies of life baked into this tasty creation of yours. Very much enjoyed the write and it's wisdom. |

They call me crusty and a flake So that must be the pie I bake! Like the ingredient of philosophy and wisdom you baked into this one, Sy. We always get our just desserts |

You did a wonderful job of making me hungry, Sy............. Now, I want some apple pie really bad, and the bakeries are closed and I don't have the ingredients to make one... Maybe I'll just bake an apple.... This is a deliciously different poem. ~ hugs of yum Lyra |

Seymour darling boy, yes I’m back Shhh I’ve half hinched Paul’s computer, he’s in Cypress he doesn’t need it right now This is incredible writing so beautifully constructed as always your writing is exceptionally fine, and I love the flow of this it is sooooo smooth. I make a very good apple pie, living opposite an apple orchard it would be a waste if I didn’t. Many is the time the kids would go scrumping, I know very lawless to encourage them but as it happens the farmer didn’t mind. Now of course they are far too old to be clambering over the wall. They could have course walked the whole distance of 12 yards and entered through the gate but from what I understand it wasn’t scrumping if you did it the easy way. Enough of this idle chat and back to the poem Fabulous writing darling man utterly utterly fabulous, never do you fail to supply my eyes with delight. x x x Did you miss me? Well I missed you Love and warm stuff As always Mushy Breathe through the heat of our desire Thy coolness and they balm Let sense be dumb let flesh retire Speak through the eathquake wind and fire [This message has been edited by Marsha (07-07-2002 07:28 PM).] |
