when she draped the gold
upon her neck,
‘round her wrist,
slipped the slim band
on her finger

lips would raise in
acquiesce

now the weighty
chain
burdens her
every
thought

she use to move
as if to embrace
dancing thoughts ~
she was a skip in time
and fresh air to lungs

he stills think she moves
in his direction

he doesn’t know
her secrets

time haunts her
yearning movements
for fluid wake

how alone must she
be in a room with
view for two

encases memories
in silk cocoon
she sachets
thoughts in lavender
and milks warm
her mood

the razor glides
her skin smooth
water beads
her glisten
nylon glides clean
fingertips temptation
to her throat
behind her ear
back of her knee
what the skirt
won’t hide
silk blouse
begs to curve
she wears her heels
well

he asks
who are you
dressing for

like Ruby going to
town
for anyone who
still might appreciate
music walking

DAMN this was good writing, and the heart pangs I had from this poem actually caused a small gasp here and there...

he asks

still might appreciate
music walking

(so many have had their music stifled) and if nothing else I wish everyone can carry a song in their hearts)...okay, I loved this, as a matter of fact, this may probably be my favorite of yours. \

family and my friends.
