I have been around enough people To know there is nothing I do or say Which will make him stop his drinking I am not even sure if I should stay To watch him drink himself to death The only thing I can do is just pray I don't really try to talk to him Because I know for me it is no use He tells me that he doesn't remember But, I think that it is just an excuse I tell him I will always remind him And, I will not take any of his abuse It seems like he is getting worse now He drinks early in the morning too He stays gone the whole day long If only there was something I could do I would make him stop his drinking But how, I just don't have a clue He tells me that I am the problem I don't know what I did wrong Only that I have disagreed with him Now it is like I just don't belong With him I will stand my ground About my beliefs I will stay strong Sometimes the stress is just too much But, all I can do is to take care of me About him I am unable to do anything I just wish he was able to see What he is doing to the both of us So our lives would be like it use to be By Sue 7-4-02 |

Exactly...I've been around enough people with problems to know that they like to blame those around them as the cause of their problems...which in most cases is not true...they are the only ones that can solve their problems...they are the only ones that can make the choices...James |

Oh Sue, you are indeed a smart one. I spent three years in the blindness of this. I never wanted to give up, until my health was endangered. So that's that. Thanks for reminding of how strong we sometimes have to be. |
